It's Encour Bealges. Teri seems really nice, but I haven't found much about her breeding practices (I haven't been able to do any questioning).
We shall see, though, it's not my dog.

well, OFA is not at all common in the breed right now. It's not something that is make or break, or if it is...pick another breed lol. I do it and bunches of others do...but on the whole it's not done like in GSD's or other breeds as a matter of course.
Beagles JUST RECENTLY became eligible for CHIC numbers with the requirement of eye, hip and either heart or thyroid certifications being the criterium. Only a relative few have CHIC #'s right now. The breed is moving towards it more but it is difficult because they are a small breed with many folks who keep a good number of hounds and haven't seen enough issues to make them want to shell out the $$ to OFA/CERF/etc. Now aside from that....I think the kennel is a good one, with nice hounds, with nice temperaments, and I'd have no problems buying a hound from them myself so long as I test and such myself before adding it as a breeding dog. Have him ensure the contract is acceptable to him and let him know the kinds of things it should address. That always helps!
