Question about heartworm tabs...

Any favored brands?? I just got Hammie Interceptor.....had only used Heartguard prior. Does this really also control hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms?? I've always given them that separate.


I have a friend that gets one shot every 6 months instead of the tabs monthly. Any thoughts if one is better than the other? Thanks!!!

the 6 month shot (proheart 6 was just recently recalled by the FDA pending further testing.)

As far as tabs...I live in a very high risk area for heartworm and parasites...I have been using Interceptor on both my dogs with no infestation problems at all.
