Default Dog food suggestions for kenya

Kenya is an adolescent gsd, im guessing around 11 months old but im not sure. she still has pearly white teeth
she has been on NUTRO natural choice/pedigree wet food mix. she has been on this because she was very underweight when we adopted her and our vet suggested these foods because of high calories

now, we need to switch her to normal food but im not sure which to pick
i was a dog food that is healthy, ect..
but that is ALSO available locally (petco, petsmart ect..)

people have suggested wellness and proplan

how are those foods?

here she is by the way..

as u can tell. she has some growing to do lol (thats her after rolling in wet grass) with her big batman ears lol

wellness is good...
proplan is not...

look for a food with MEAT or MEAT MEAL as the first ingredient and NO CORN.
canidea, timberwolf, blue buffalo, eaglepak, merrick Before Grain.

nutro is an ok food though, theres realy no reason to switch her off the nutro if shes doing well on it.
i would put her on nutro adult, leave out the wet food (pedigree sucks) or try a better wetfood or gravy if shes a fussy eater...
shes a cutie.

nutro is giving her gas.. SHE CAN CLEAR A ROOM AT NIGHT! and she also has the big D..
and pedigree just sucks, im sure its yummy because she eats it with vigor but its probably bad for her and gives her bad gas also

ill be sure to read the ingredients before i go shopping
i dont think she needs wetfood, she just likes it lol

Check out www.dogfoodproject.com and study up before you go

I'd suggest looking at www.naturapet.com. They make some excellent kibbles and you can use their locator to see who sells their products near you.

yeah the pedigree may be a huge cause of the gas.
fillers tend to cause the most problems with upset tummies, but if shes sensitive try a duck forumlar and see if it helps. (i had a friend of min switch his eng bully from sci-die to a duck and rice forumalr and it not only helped his skin but the gas has decreased incredibly lol.

also add some parsley (either fresh or dried) itll help with gas!

Bella's quite thin (She's a GSD, a little older than Kenya, though), and to fatten her up, she's on Canidae (quite expensive for us - but for other people, probably not bad at all), 6 cups a day, with a little bit of canned food, watered down, mixed in, so that she'll eat it. (She never used to eat all of her food without the wet food, now she does)....

Though, I've been told, that it's not totaly uncommon for a young GSD to be on the thin side. I know with Bella, she never stops going!

I've heard a LOT of people complaining about gas with Nutro, which really isn't much of a quality food, especially for a growing GSD.

I think the pedigree canned might contain soy, which gives most dogs gas. They ferment it.

any websites that I could order a good food and have it shipped to me?
lol in the meen time, ill cut the pedigree out of her diet and just deal with nutro until i can order/find a better food.

wellness is the only "good quality" food readily available in my area (big chain pet stores)
but if there is a better food, I WANT IT! lol even if it means shipping it here..

i have no idea how im going to pay for it.. but shes worth it. i could go without some of the typical teenage money spending crap for a while lol

im gonna go check out the store and hopefully its not that expensive..(the store is in Miami beach..so more than likely the price is outrageous, so im hoping i can order it)
