To all of those out there who own an animal or are thinking about bringing one into your life please consider all the negative things about it as well as the good before you do so.
Realize that it WILL be destructive until you train it. Will mess in your house until you train it. Will run off unless you stop it. Will not just automatically be the perfect pet unless you help it to be. BEFORE you go get that pet ask yourself....... Do I have time ? Do I have the financial means? Do I have a bad temper or am I reasonable and compassionate ? Am I willing to commit to a long term relationship ? Ask yourself if you believe that animals feel love, pain, hunger, cold , heat, and lonliness. If you don't believe that please don't get any pets. Before you get that pet are you willing to do the research about that specific type and what their good and bad qualities are and are you willing to go through with it ? And most importantly if you find that you are not able to control your temper to that animal would you be willing to rehome it before you make it hate people ? I guess what I am tring to say is that if you are the type of owner who thinks that hitting an animal to train it and there by making it afraid of you is right then please don't get one and if you believe that leaving them outside with no human interaction is right again please don't get one. If you fell that getting a certian breed to have pups for profit is right then know this...... I despise you ! Animals are just little people like children who depend on us for their needs would you do this to you child ??? |

thank you bp if anyone hasn't seen what happened to Allie and how truly heartbroken I am because I could not convince her that not all humans are bad please think about this before you take on the enormous task of owning an animal no matter what type.

very well put. I am totally impressed with you input on doggie ownership. To many people just get them just because. For social status and all kinds of stupid reasons. That is why I put up my web site today; I hope with the details I have placed it may bring good people around. See what you all think? Tell me what needs to be changed? www.mypolicek9dogs4you.9k.com.9k.com if you have a hard time getting in I will check it out Cindr

I agree that was well said. As having to also lose a dog who was so horribly abused she went after someone I know what you mean and I feel very strongly.

still to this day in age, I get awwed at the mistreated animals. It just drives me nuts that in today's world people don't know right to wrong. I mean back in our parents days, it was "normal" to see a dog chained outside and if it got sick, broke a leg or what ever you shoot it. But to think like that in today's society...I don't know can't even say the words. Once a year I take in a mama cat with her kittens, or pregnant and have her fixed and kittens to good homes. this year the mama came with 1 kitten from a previous batch, that kitten was untouchable. we would try to take her in our arms and her tail would be between her legs. She needed a good patient home...that she got. even after doing this for many years, I still can't beleive the people out there. it saddens me.
