Question grocery store dog food?

my mom is taking me to the store today to buy dog food, and I'm not sure if it's the petstore or grocery store. but in case it's the grocery store, what's the best grocery dog food brand? (I just hope we go to the petstore!)

Purina pro plan is the best in my opinion as far as grocery store foods go.

I've been researching raw meats. And if we do go to the grocery store I'll probably buy raw foods, but if we go to the petstore.. I'll but innova or something?? actully I think I just might start with the raw diet, I was going to wait, but better sooner then later..

I would 1st make sure that your mum is willing to buy the Raw food all the time......You wouldn't want to have to keep chopping and changing and upsetting Sammys tummy

Just realize that a raw diet for a GSD is going to cost you quite a bit more than grocery or pet store quality dog food. It's going to cost about the same as a high quality designer type dog food if not a little more. I just went shopping for food the other day. 42lbs of chicken legs- 20 bucks. 10lbs of beef- 20 bucks. 15lbs of pork shoulder- 22 bucks. 15lbs of pork ribs- 25 bucks. That will last me about a month for 3 dogs. That doesn't include eggs, organ meat, and a couple other supplements.
