rocks rocks rocks
here's some rocks..all month i been painting nothing but rocks.
i stopped by my friend's store (where we keep the ones i have finished) and she had them lined up in the window..on the floor..in baskets around her shop. Lots and lots and lots of rocks..went to the rock place and bought another truck load. I don't know how many i will get finished before the BIG SHOW but i am trying my hardest. I always sell out at city market. one day..some day..no more rocks! I bet i have made 500 frogs and rabbits in the last three years alone. thought i'd show you what i am doing instead of my "real" art. i have cheshire cats and yellow cats..lizards and fishy rocks too but i could only post two..if you want to see the cats and the lizards and such i will make another thread...one day i will grow up and have my very own website like everybody else seems to have.

i make more bunnies than the bunnies are making! I have to make myself sit there and do some more..bad smkie for playing on the computer instead! i am so tired of frogs and bunnies...palm size i try to get down to four an hour..then i charge 5 for them. bigger size go 10, 15, 20 , and a pair (life size) i once sold for a hundred. Turltes are more, they take longer but i have a waiting list. Everyone wants lizards.but they are a bit to find. Fish are new..frogs are like rabbits..the most i sold one for is 100 the least..5 dollars. i price by how nice the rock is..it amazes me that people will buy those and always going to but never get around to ordering a painting until Novemeber, of course wanting it for Christmas. That is why i am doing rocks. Come fall, i'll be painting dogs and cats. Seems to be the routine now. these are last years rocks..the big one is mine and he weighs about 3o lbs. This years are of course, better. That is the best part of being an artist..you always get better.

lawn,garden and leisure show at Bartle hall..big big show ST patricks weekend.
after that i will go back to city market. I think about 3 thousand people expected at the spring fling. i do hold back the specialist ones to give to my favorite people.

it is shoulder to shoulder madness.but talk about some beautiful stuff..the show of dreams how can you miss with lawn..garden and leisure? I don't know if they have word home shoved in there or not..but it is deffinately a packed house. i am aiming for those palm sizes,Kelly calls them pocket pals or computer pets , those and ones under 10 lbs..i don't think anybody wants to carry a 30lb rock around the building and all the way out to city parking. I will have a few bigger ones on display tho. You would laugh at me climbing all over the rock piles..trying not to fall on my bum...the best rocks are always on the top, on the other side. The guys that work at the rockplace always got big smiles for me when i show up. They are good to me and give me a great price..they have all bought some and let me display in their store before too. Rock House in Shawnee is awesome. ok i am really going this time..need a push..to the table..work work work
