Default Bone stuck on dog's jaw

This just happened to my friend's dog last night. She rushed her to the emergency vet. Her dog had to be sedated while two vets tried to break the marrow bone to get it off her jaw. Luckily no teeth were damaged. She was crying and now sound asleep at home. Please be careful :

I have seen a couple stories of this happening and I question the size of the marrow bone. The ones I have seen seem way too small for the dogs, jmo, but Gage doesn't get any marrow bone shorter then 5-6" the ones in the stories I linked are more the size I would give Diesel.

This happened to Bamm a few years ago. It scared the hell out of me. Luckily I was able to get it off without having to rush him to the vet, but it wasn't easy.

That happened to my friend's dog. She had to go to the vet to get it off. Scary! So glad your friend's dog is ok!

This almost happened to our dog also. Fortunately, we got the bones out right.

I had to pull one off Fozzie's lower jaw when he was 6 months old. Very scary!!! He was freaking out. I never feed those after that incident.
