Default Those with always on the go but also lanky puppies

Is hiking (in a mountain, but with trails and nothing more difficult than a hill or two) a no no for growing puppies?

Trying to go on a hike this weekend but since I'm probably going solo, I am only taking one dog. And my ok-to-head-to-nature dog choices are limited, lol.

Also, this puppy never rests.

I've done it. And I've also carried puppies out lol, if my hike goes longer than intended and they seem tired.

Jones went on a hike at six months old, he didn't have to be carried out, and he was still zipping around like an idiot when we got home

If you listen to your puppy and take breaks when he needs them, I don't see any harm. All of my dogs have gone on hikes since joining the family, though I certainly build them up gradually (1 mile to 2 miles to 4 miles, etc.) and we don't go on hikes over 4 miles until they are older pups as I don't want to carry a 30lb pup for miles.
