The topic of suicide.

Okay guys, I know this is a touchy subject, but it's one I've been thinking about a lot lately, since I am at a very low and dark point in my life.

I've never been one to think about suicide a lot, and I'm not thinking about DOING it, so don't go calling a hotline on me, I'm just thinking about the action of it and the mechanics and whatnot and how society looks at it.

Why is suicide so widely frowned upon? I mean... I understand, but then again I don't. Why is it so bad for a person to choose to opt out of life? It's their life, isn't it? If they understand fully what that means..... Why isn't suicide seen as viable option? We always say "oh, it will get better..".. But in a lot of cases...that's not true. Some people die alone and unhappy and they live their whole lives like that. Why not allow them to choose to leave this world on their own terms, rather than miserable and unbalanced? They can choose to leave. Maybe this falls under the category of physician assisted suicide...

I also realize this won't be a very popular idea. Please don't eat me alive. It was just my current thoughts on it all.

What happened to the dog? (Now I am curious... Not judgmental ... Just curious).

ON topic, as someone who is ... ADHD & as a result ... Different & largely unable to make friends in mainstream society, I struggle with feelings of self loathing & thoughts of just "ending" it cross my mind daily.

It's not an "I hate my body or appearance" thing, from a physical standpoint I like myself, it's just the social side of me that I have a huge problem with & I know that I can't "help" it, it's just who I am; I know I will always say the wrong thing, blurt things out that I shouldn't, say what's on my mind without thinking it thru first, be impulsive & crap. No amount of therapy or meds will ever changed that.

I found it odd that someone whose dog was (is) potentially in dire need of medical care was posting more ridiculous threads on a message forum.

Stalker much? Why don't you just start your own Barbara campaign thread instead of smearing every thread she posts and bitching about her on Facebook.


I don't agree with her decisions all the time, or her attitude some of the time, but seriously... What are you (and some others) trying to achieve by flogging a dead horse. Apart from looking snide.

I've posted in all of, what... Two threads Barbara has started? And that constitutes stalking? Why don't you sit over there next to PitBullLove and you can both tell me all about your logic together...

I suppose two short comments on a thread on Facebook count as stalking as well; One being, "Barbara isn't bothering to read her PMs, I sent one the other day offering to help with the APBT and she has yet to read it." And the other, "I'm personally in the "let dumb criminals hang themselves" camp, but, meh.."

Sit down, kids. I'm going to go ahead and let you in on a little secret. Ready? This is an online discussion forum. Sometimes, people post things that you won't agree with, or are going to upset and/or offend you and others. I understand that it can be shocking when you first come to this realization.

Perhaps, and this is simply a suggestion...those who do not want their stories scrutinized should not post them publicly?

Because no one would choose to leave this world with the majority of their life ahead of them if they weren't at least somewhat "miserable and unbalanced".
