New in Alaska

New to the forum, but a long time dog lover! I grew up with dogs, and have had my own girl, Zoe, for nearly a decade. I got her from the animal shelter as a little pup in May of 2003. From what I can tell, her mom was a big Pit Bull (also at the pound, along with two littermates,) and it seems her dad was Great Dane and maybe Lab. Who really know, but I do know she is amazing!

We are currently about two months into nosework, and I am very impressed with her skills. She's always been a bright girl. I wish I had worked her brain harder all these years, but she has loved just tagging along as a member of all family activities.

My one big sad thing about her is that she is very reactive to other dogs. It puts a big cramp in our social life. I'd really like to work on that.

Anyhow, that's us! I will share pics when my computer is being more friendly.
