How old is your nephew? I have one child's camera and have seen a couple others (though not the model you posted). Honestly, while my daughter had fun with it, she was mostly disappointed. The pics were extremely low quality, like cell phone from 10 years ago quality. If it were me, I would try and find a cheap real digital camera (used I bet you could find some in that price range) if the child is not a toddler.

256 MB of built-in memory stores 1000 images. 250kb per image, that would be under 3mp.
For under 5 or so, it could work (I'd try to find some test shots though, even kids are pretty discerning now) but over 5 years I'd try to get an older rugged design (Olympus or Pentax probably). |

He's a toddler, smart and inquisitive but young for sure.

I'd get a cheaper camera, too. The one I have I got off of Amazon for around $40.
This time of year, you should be able to find a lot of the older, and therefore cheaper, models without necessarily having to sacrifice the quality. Some of the slightly older models, like my camera, are really sturdy. I've dropped it I don't know how many times..and it's never given me any issues. I'm browsing Amazon now and finding plenty older models under $40. Just models that have been out for a few years, and about to get a re-launch. Polaroid is usually quite sturdy with their cameras. This one is $15-20 new. http://www.amazon.com/Polaroid-320-0...eywords=camera The plus side to this, they have more to interact with, and if they ever get bored with it...well, you have a cheap, nice and easy Point and Shoot.

I have a similar Polaroid. No issues with it. Mine is a better quality, but I didn't think we were looking for spiffy HD for a toddler. Anything under 5MP would probably be plenty. Mine is 12MP.

I know with Clive, the quality of the photo would not matter as much as it not breaking when inevitably dropped. It would be more about his mimicking and taking photos, etc.
