Pennyroyal for flea control
I'm expanding my herb garden this year...BIG as I can. I've known Pennyroyal had been used in olden times as an insect/mice repellent...but I didn't give a thought to fleas. Well....powdered dried leaves are an excellent flea repellent for your pets, and that just sounds much better to me than insecticides. Anyone use it? (yes, I know....it's not even Jan. and here I am planning garden items
 ) Lavender, too.........hmmmmmm...I may just have some nice smelling dogs.....................I think Ham just gave me one of those 'man' looks. LOL I'll just tell him it smells like Old Spice or something more manly.

Thoughts on rubbing garlic powder ON a dog? ROFL! I can just see Addie eyeing Hammie, not being able to decide if he's just weird or if he'd be nice with a side of pasta . . .
Seriously, you don't want to pet a dog that's been garlic powdered, do you? Or live with the after effects in the house? The pennyroyal works pretty well, and it's part of the mint family so it's easy to grow. If you'll get some shampoo with Neem, it's a great flea killer/repellant and it's natural and completely benign.
