Breaking my lurking streak to share. Dogs are so incredibly inspiring with their resilience.
![]() A dog whose front legs were chopped off by drug dealers can finally play again after he was given false limbs. ''Pay de Limon (Lemon Pie) had the misfortune of running into an organised crime group and they used him to practice cutting off each one of his paws, like they do when they cut fingers off human beings that have been kidnapped,'' Patricia Ruiz of Mexico's Milagros Caninons (Canine Miracles), said. Pay de Limon was found bleeding in a dumpster by residents in the Mexico City suburb of Fresnillo and they took him to Milagros Caninons. Due to a lack of facilities in Mexico, a US company created the prosthetic legs after the Mexican foundation raised over US$6000 (NZ$7515). Pay de Limon has been practising using his new legs and is said to be comfortable with them now. source: http://www.stuff.co.nz/oddstuff/7586...chops-off-paws

Blows my mind at the ways people can come up with be cruel to a dog. But it warms my heart to see that picture, and I'm glad someone did something about it.

Ha! He looks like he's doing well for himself. Turns my stomach to think of someone chopping off his legs as "practice" but I'm glad he seems to be mobile and happy.

It may not be "correct" to wish harm on others but this sort of cruelty makes my blood boil - no need to practice on a dog - they can just practice on other drug dealers who destroy lives of the vulnerable souls of our world who buy their drugs.
I for one hope they painfully get what they deserve! |
