Ratio of ice cream to soda in a float

How do you like yours?

I just picked up a root beer float from Sonic and have to say I am a little bit disappointed. It's like...80% ice cream and 20% root beer. If wanted straight ice cream, I would have ordered straight ice cream!

I don't like floats but if I were to have one, I would think 50:50 would be most preferable, although I'd rather have more ice cream than more pop.

I like about 50-60% ice cream and the remainder pop. I like a little more ice cream.

The Marble Slab next door to my work fills the cup about 60-75% ice cream and the rest soda... However they give you the whole bottle of soda so you can refill as needed. The best float I've had there was orange sherbert with fanta cream soda. Mmm.

I like the refillable coke idea too. That would be great.

I think I'd want like 60% coke and 40% ice cream ideally.

Agreed, I always refill mine til the coke is gone. (Coke floats > root beer floats).
