Default This dog site will have you laughing to tears

This lady is one of the funniest writers I have ever read.
Start with the section "The Truth About Dog Breeds" then "The Truth About Dog Sports". If you have one of the breeds she writes about, or if you participate in one of the sports you will find her writing even more amusing.

ROFL. I can tell she lives with a Border Collie, her description of them was perfect.

Recently I dog-sat a BC for the weekend. Two days. Forty-eight hours of being stared at. No blinking. Unwavering scrutiny. In human culture, staring is wrong. Parents invest incredible energy teaching children not to stare. Being stared at briefly is uncomfortable. Try an hour with a Border Collie if you want to experience serious discomfort.

Every time a BC stares, there is a single message embedded in the gaze. In the case of my houseguest, the communication was clear: BALL, BALL, BALL, BALL, BALL. After several hours, I could not stand the tension. I threw the ball until tendonitis set in. I had to take three Advil and a nap. The dog stared at me during the entire nap from approximately three inches away.

I found the golden retriever description pretty accurate too... Especially the part about them liking sponges and stealing underwear Oh, and this part :

'The Golden is first and foremost a retriever. This means that they will make every effort to bring you everything not nailed down. However, they never return anything to its original location so a large portion of the day must be spent gathering and redecorating. '

Yup, golden retriever indeed.
