Gardening!

Excited! I am in zone 5-6 so it's FINALLY getting close to starting plants indoors!

We have an above ground pool, had it for quite some time for the kids. Well now the youngest is 12 and doesn't seem to care about the pool.....we have a ton of lakes in town, plus the huge pool at the YMCA. Anyway, we are discussing taking the pool out and putting a small green house in that area! MORE EXCITEMENT! LOL

I do not plant a big garden, I just do some container gardening......tomatoes, a few types of peppers, plenty of hanging herbs, etc. but I'm still excited to begin! LOL

So who else is excited to start growing things whether flowers or food, BRING ON THE SPRING!

I'm thinking of putting together a bird garden this year, and maybe a few vegetables.
That said, I have zero gardening experience and even less of a green thumb, so we'll see what actually happens... LOL!

Haha, same here!

I say this every year, though! I want to build a raised garden in our side yard, but that requires going out and doing it!

Getting pretty excited here...to both clean up our yard and plant some stuff and also take part in a community garden where I shall go plant veggies and things

Have to wait for about mid April at least though...

I'm apparently zone 9b. Last time I looked, our growing seasons are weird. I think I'd need to start a garden soon if I'm going to do one.

Well. I have no idea if I will plant a garden this year. We might be way too busy. I do want to try and plant a few sunflower's because they are easy and would look nice against the house, but we will see.

I'm planning on not having a designated vegetable garden, but instead planting a few select veggies and herbs in and among my landscaping. In addition, I'll make some planters. That's the plan anyhow. I'm going to start a few things indoors very soon.

Our garden is already up and going for the most part. We have had Kale growing all winter, and it will continue to grow and we can harvest it until late summer when it just gets too hot. We've got some beans growing, and some sweet peas, but they were started a little late. Same with our lonely tomato plant. I think we also have some swiss chard growing.

At the end of the month, or april, we go to a plant sale where there are flowers for really low prices, and that is how we start our flower garden. I'll try and get some pictures up for you guys.
