[poll] Is it wrong

to buy pharmaceutical drugs from someone because you cannot afford to see a doctor to get them on your own, and have regularly taken them in the past for a diagnosed problem?


Non-poll answer, would you ever resort to doing it if you had no other avenue?

Hypothetically I have kinda, but I literally had the prescription for it from the doctor, I just couldn't afford $30 for one pill

ETA but no, I wouldn't do it without seeing a doctor first, cause that is incredibly dangerous at different stages of life, and I don't even feel comfortable doing that despite having schooling in nursing

Honestly, I would totally do it. I think it's wrong if you don't need them, but if you have previously taken them before for a diagnosed problem, I don't really see anything wrong with it.

ETA: that always happens with my feet.

I don't think it is morally wrong. But it is illegal. And potentially dangerous.

I however have bought, in the past, plenty of illegal drugs so who am I to judge?

I wouldn't trust any drugs not obtained directly from the pharmacy myself. If it's something you had a prescription for and just need a refill and they can't get a hold of the doctor I think most pharmacies will give you a few days worth of pills (maybe depending on the prescription, my pharmacy gave me a couple of days worth of blood pressure meds when they couldn't get a hold of my doctor over the weekend once).

I've been having serious back pain that only seems to be dampened with Vicodin. I'm down to my last two pills (they were prescribed for the csection), and I'm trying to get a refill from the doctor. My csection incision is fine now, but the back is still agony (I've even started seeing a chiropractor) but if she refuses I still wouldn't get the pills illegally. I'd pretty much just suffer through it and hope the chiro manages to fix it.

Hm, okay. What if you're not just buying from some street kid? And instead, buying from someone you know who has the prescription themselves and is willing to help you out, pills in original pop-out packaging?

Any sort of doctor or talking to a pharmacy about refilling isn't an option, unfortunately.

Oh yeah, I'd take pills from someone I know and trust for a legit need as long as they can spare them without hurting themselves.
