I'm looking for a force air dryer for Logan. He's a smooth collie so he has a double coat, but it's short - shorter and thinner than a GSD or Lab coat.
I'm looking for a model that's around $100 or less that will still get the job done. It has to be on Amazon because I got a gift card for Amazon for Christmas and I'm getting $70 in credits for selling textbooks to them. Prime/SuperSaver/Free shipping preferred ![]() Here are a couple I'm considering: http://www.amazon.com/B-Air-Bear-Pow...5017241&sr=1-2 http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-Q...5017241&sr=1-3 (dog dryer) or http://www.amazon.com/Metro-Vacuum-S...5017713&sr=8-1 (motorcycle dryer) - they appear to be the exact same to me, other than color and possibly a hose??

I'm going to start by just saying that I've not personally used any of these dryers. Of the choices presented I'd use the B Air Bear - for the stronger motor- the included accessories and the better air intake with filter.
I would say those other two based on specs may be the same item but who knows? The guts are really what matters. Also as a note-get yourself some ear protection. I use simple ear plugs now.

I have the Metro vac, the first one linked. I believe it's Sizzle who also uses one for Revy? I like it and it works for all my dogs, should do the job on a smooth collie. Georgie HATES it but the other dogs don't mind it at all, including Miss Pepper.
Definitely agree about the ear protection.

Yeah, I know they're loud. We have a force air dryer at work and I use that on Logan sometimes, but I need my own.
I'm reading all the complaints about people saying their animals are scared of it and going WTF DO YOU EXPECT IT TO SOUND LIKE?!

Well it's certainly not most dogs favorite thing. I did have a few weird ones where they really loved it but yeah... they def weren't the norm

I use a Metro QuickDraw.... I love it.
![]() I've seen them online for $80 or so, but usually they run in the $100 range.
