Default Gerber Fruit Puffs & Yogurt Melts

This may seem odd, but I was wondering what anybody thought about using Gerber baby Fruit Puffs and Yogurt Melts for treats.

I've actually read about a few others using them on a different forum but never really thought Jackson would like them.

Well, I babysat this past weekend and him (and my dads dogs) went nuts for them! He had the banana Puffs and the strawberry yogurt melts.

They look like this:

It probably sounds nuts, but they would be cheaper than the dang dog treats that I buy. I'd still get him a bag of tasty dog treats to keep around, and use chicken, etc, for high value rewards.

But I figure these could be nice little treats to keep around for whatever.

They are all super low calorie, come with a ton of little treats, no fat, no preservatives, artificial flavors, etc.

I've seen them in different brands too - organic, generic brands that are cheaper, etc.

Just thought I'd give the idea to anybody who would be interested and see what you thought about it.

I personally don't see a problem using them. I use cheerios for my guys when I make a mix of nommy stuff (like cheese and hotdogs) so they're not getting a million hotdogs pieces.

I use them as rat treats lol.

I don't see why they couldn't be used for dogs. Probably better than the junk I get for mine anyway!

My dogs get Clive's dropped treats frequently, they seem to enjoy them and have done just fine

I never use them deliberately, that isn't to say my dogs don't end up eating a bunch of them. So far no ill effects.

I love using them for dog treats. They don't get many of the yogurt melts tho because I like to eat those myself LOL (I got them originally to see if they were spit-able for heeling work; they dissolve too fast for that but I did learn that they were yummy!).
