Yes! Both of my boys are microchipped.
Luckily, neither of them has ever been lost, but if they were I would want something more concrete than collars and tags to prove my ownership and to help them find their way home. I am a huge worrywort in general, too. D: Dogs with chips can still be stolen, but if they're taken to the Vet or a shelter, chances are they will eventually find out that the dog is lost.

Yes, Buster is chipped. He was done a couple of years ago but now we've moved to a state where its mandatory so I'd have to do it anyway.
He doesn't always where a collar so I find it very important, if for no other reason than to proove ownership. |

All four of my dogs are chipped. And today at work we reunited a little dog with his owners because of his chip.

My thoughts on Microchipping are as follows:
1) they are not the be all end all for lost dogs 2) they can migrate on the dog 3) not all scanners pick up all microchips 4) not all shelters scan for microchips 5) even if they do, you still might not get your dog back However, with that said- all of my pets are microchipped, because it's one more way that could get your lost pet back home. |

No, actually. I understand that it has its respective reeasoning, and do not fault those who chose chipping. I do not chip much for the same reasons you may not chip yourself or your chiild. I understand, too, that dogs are obviously not the former, but this particular topic just happens to tread the same lines for me.

Yup. $20 a year for an increased chance that if she's lost I'll get her back is a no brainer to me.

You have to pay a yearly fee? What did it initially cost to chip her out of curiosity.
