Default Pitbull Is it true that they have deadly...

That they have horrible gas and their #2 smells a lot worse than other dogs ?

It depends on what you feed them. Garbage in, garbage out.

Tallulah doesn't have a problem with it, but she eats raw and EVO RM and human foods -- fruits, veggies, etc. I don't, however let her eat Science Diet, Iams, Purina, Ol' Roy or other crap.

I just went out to check and a Pit with the same diet as a Fila basically both smell bad. I suppose it would take a more refined connoisseur to tell you the more favorable and less favorable points with each. If you are looking for a breed that seriously reeks either breed would serve you well.

I understand that, but I heard theirs just smell worse.

I dunno paps can be pretty bad too. One of mine right now has AWFUL gas. Dunno who, they're both sitting under my desk and then I get whiffs of it every now and then. I can hardly imagine a dog having worse. *gag*

I found that my pit had absolutely zero tolerance for most grains, including soy. It wasn't only dog food, human baked goods containing grain caused tremendous gas as well. In a car it was horrifying.
