I just got the verdict

on adopting the white shepherd and wish to express my heart felt thanks to all who offered to help. The director of the shelter has said that the dog is iffy with small kids and so she would prefer not to adopt him to us. I wish we could adopt him anyway and try him because I do know several people with out kids here who would gladly take him if it did not work with me. I can only say I hope someone acceptable adopts him before it is too late.

He has until Mon morning and they are closed tomorrow and they close early today.

Yuck - have you thought about alerting a GSD rescue to his plight? They are usually good about swooping down and saving one of their own.

I was working with the rescue on this because they are just jammed full and cannot take him. We were so hoping to take him but no such luck and the shelter is closed until Mon and he was not adopted so we know what his destiny is.
