there is no way I can have three forever dogs! I have already contacted two rescue groups. If anyone has any ideas on how to find a breed rescue who would take it, I dont care if its half around the world! any ideas on finding this dog a responsible loving home would be greatly appreciated!
I have not heard back from the two rescue groups yet, but it was only 30 minutes ago that I emailed them.

I'm posting this on behalf of a friend/former teacher of mine from high school. The dog is located in the Triangle Area of NC but knowing Chaz, transport could be arranged for interested parties :)

The main problem is that this lovable guy is crated the majority of the day and the owners feel like this is an injustice to such a lovely dog so hopefully someone wants or knows someone who does want a gorgeous boy.

"Wudgie" (plz change his name...) is about a year. He's a boxer mix - he's lived in orange county his whole life...and been living with and being trained by us (Sarah & Mike) for a few months now. He's SOOO Sweet, very obendient and submissive, LOVES to run and play even with other dogs, fetches great, and is generally VERY attentive to his alpha...

But our dog's a bit too food possessive and they've gotten in a fight or two. If you've got a dog/pack that gets along well with other dogs OR are interested in a one-dog household, Wudgie's AWESOME.

We've more information on his history if you're interested.

We're going to have to send him back to the foster place if we can't find a home in about week... so lemme know if you even consider wanting him.

He gets along great with other dogs, and is quite the love bug. He's not a big fan of men, but does warm up to them quickly. I've only had him a few days, but he does appear to be housebroken. He does very well in a crate and loves bully sticks.

He has his rabies, but will be neutered, hw tested, and given dhpp before he goes to his new home.

The adoption fee will be $350.
He is so wild in the house that he breaks things. He is like a bull in a china shop. And my mothers financial situation has her feeding him ol'roy. and now he is tied outside.

She really wants to find him a home, but no one wants a dog so wild. We both think that it would be a bad idea to take him to a shelter because he is black and black dogs are commonly pts. he is very very hyper and we just do not think he would be adopted.

I have tried to work with Gunner some, but he will not even look at you... he just wants to run and jump. He does not respond to treats, or toys. its like he cannot focus on anything.

Does anyone have any idea how we can find this dog a new home? he is a medium sized dog, about 40lbs. NEVER has had any shots, and he is intact. not house broken

So, where I work, there are theses people that got a chihuahua puppy. They have no idea what to do with it. Long story short, the guy cornered the dog, and bent over to pick him up, and the dog bit his face. Now the dog is boarding at the clinic for 10 days under rabies quarantine, and if they can't find him a new home by the end of the 10 days, he's going to the humane society. Since he's deemed a "dangerous dog" because of the bite, he'll undoubtedly be put down. Sad thing is, this is one sweet puppy, and adorable to boot. He's got one floppy ear and one standing up ear lol. I would take him if I could, but I can't have another dog where I live now, and my mom is would take him but she's afraid their 100+ pounds dogs would squash him.

So, anyone know anyone who wants a 5 pound, 3 1/2 month old, adorable, "viscous" chihuahua mix puppy?

People should have to pass a test to own dogs >.<

Hi all. I haven't been to this forum in a very, very long time. My old computor died, and I lost all my bookmarks.

Anyway, I would love to tell you this story, and also set forth a challenge.

There is a pet forum that was designed to tell stories, boast and brag about your pets, etc... but it turned into nothing more than a national classified ad forum for selling and rehoming pets. I was very angry that it turned into this, but, what could I do? I continued receiving every post in my email, which I would simply delete them all each day. After 10 months of getting these posts, one caught my eye, and I opened it and read it. Someone was trying to rehome a 7 year old yorkie, spayed female. I already have 3 dogs, and I needed a 4th like a hole in the head. But I emailed the poster, and explained how it was unusual to even read these posts. I offered, that if she did not place the dog in a reasonable amount of time, that I would love to take her and keep her here with me. After about 6 weeks, I got Toto.

When I agreed to take her, I knew nothing about her, only that she was small, about 6 pounds, and she was sweet. Once she got here, I immediately took her to the vet. She was covered with fleas, so we used proper medicines to take care of that, and also medicine to help her stop chewing and scratching herself all the time. We also wormed her for everything. Other than that, she was in pretty good health... except....

She had a little neurological damage, probably a head injury was the vet's guess. After I had her about 2 months, I finally found out the entire story of her life. I know this is already long, and I will try to keep the details brief.

1. She was part of a puppy mill up in North Carolina and lived her life in a cage, and was bred every single heat starting at just over a year old.
2. At 5 1/2 years old, she had to have an emergency c-section, but still lost all her babies... the vet, god bless him, spayed her so they could not keep abusing her.
3. The male in the household, got so angry with Toto because she lost every puppy, that he kicked her HARD, and she hit the wall. :yikes: From that she got a head injury, and now lifelong neurological deficit.
4. A woman who (kind of) knew this husband and wife team, had heard they had 17 dogs no longer usable for breeding, and they were going to dispose of them. Most were not fixed, so this lady took all 17 dogs... they were all small breeds.
5. The woman who took them is a hoarder (which I found out later). She did manage to get everyone fixed thru free spay/neuter clinics in her area. Once all were done, she began rehoming all those dogs she took. (Don't get me wrong, she did a beautiful thing by taking all those dogs, but since I got Toto, she has begun acquiring more puppies already).

Now, After 2 months or more, Toto is happy for the first time in her life. She has the freedom to roam the house, which she does more and more everyday. She has reverted to puppy behavior, which I think is awesome! as she is now getting the life she should have had from a puppy, and she loves me so much! And of course, I, her!

Now here is my challenge. IF you are planning on buying a puppy, and when you go look at it, you will know right away if it is a puppy mill or a backyard breeder. I will not suggest to anyone they do not get a puppy if that's what their heart is set on, however: Ask if there are any adults they are "done with" that you could take also with your puppy. You will have the challenges of housebreaking the adult dog also, but you are already doing that for your puppy. And when you free a dog from a lifetime in a cage, you kind of become their dog bed... LOL.

I have a few pics of her on Kodak Gallery that I would love for all of you too see. The comments on the picks will tell you where we were since I got her, and it is best viewed in "slideshow mode".

An innocent dog needs your help ! Please take the time to sign this petition and spread the news about Majlo, before he is unjustly KILLED by the Norwegian police !!!

------------------
Petition description:

Majlo is a sweet and gentle dog who has never harmed anyone. Still he is confiscated and ordered killed by the police of Norway, and has been held in a secret place since February 2009. His family haven't seen him since he was taken away. They are claimed for 500 dollars to see their own dog, in addition to the 250 dollars they pay each week for his imprisonment. Their crime: Not knowing that the breed was banned in Norway when they came over from Sweden, where the breed is legal.

Although the law offers banned breeds to leave the country with their owners, the police insist on Majlo being killed instead. A behaviour test on Majlo proves that his temper is very good, but it has become a question of prestige to the police to take his life. Now it is up to the court to decide Majlo's fate. The trial will be held in december. Please tell them how wrong it is to kill an innocent dog and deprive a family of their beloved friend, just to make an example!
-------------------

Majlo is a loving pit bull who until recently lived happily without incident with his family in Sweden. That is until Majlo's family moved to Norway unaware of the Breed Specific Laws there. Now the Norwegian police have Majlo in a cold, dark kennel and they want to kill him. There is a picture of Majlo on the petition site. Look into his eyes and PLEASE take a moment to sign these petitions. Even better, please take a second to write to the police department.

HOW YOU CAN HELP MAJLO:

1. Sign the petitions at :
http://www.thepetitionsite.com/petition/816719846
www.opprop.no

(note: the text on petition no. 2 is in Finnish ! But all you need to do is give your name, e-mail and location (only country required) under "Signer oppropet!" in the upper center of the page - cream coloured box, type in the code that's shown in the right box, and click on ”Signer”. The main fields are marked in english, so you can't miss them.)

2. Send an e-mail to the Norwegian police : politidirektoratet@politiet.no Att.: Christian Budsberg Pettersen

3. Send an e-mail to the Minister of Justice: knut.storberget@jd.dep.no

All you need to do is send mails with the heading ”FREE MAJLO”, or, for more impact, personalize your mail – tell them they have no right to kill an innocent animal.

4. Join the facebook group called ”Redd Amstaffen Majlo”, which currently has over 35,000 members, all in support of Majlo. Here you can also find a detailed background story about Majlo.

5. Contact the Norwegian tourist office and threaten to boycott Norway. An outline for such a mail, together with the contact information, has been provided by Roxyrock

<Dogpages UK dog rescue forums>

6. TELL ALL YOUR FRIENDS TO DO THE SAME !

Every signature counts – your signature might make the difference between life and death for this innocent dog.
