I'm new to posting, but have been lurking on and off for the past couple of years. We have 2 cats. Tommy (black and white DSH) is around 6 months old. My mom found him at her job's parking lot by himself and he was estimated to be around a month old. He was still suckling and fighting for his life. I took him in around 2 months old and he is around 6 months old now. We got him a playmate, Leila (solid black DSH), and she is 5 months old as of today. Tommy is the perfect cat and Leila, who is half his size, is a terror and a half. She pees all over the apt, jumps on tables and kitchen counter tops, proceeds to eat whatever food is on said tables and countertops, and chews anything and everything in her sight regardless of the thousand toys that is on the floor at any given time. We have a love/hate relationship with her. Any advice, please let me know. I have only had 1 cat in my life like this and we re-homed her after a few months.

In doggy news (since this is a dog forum, after all, LOL), I have been on a waiting list for over a year for a pet male Ibizan Hound who will be named Bakari and called Kari. We will do agility and possibly obedience and lure coursing. I can finally say that he will be born around December 13th!

Anyway, I have four dogs now (no more, I tell you, No MOre! LOL)

My oldest is a yorkie named Toto, 8 years old, born Oct 8, 2000, who I rescued from a hoarder who rescued her from a puppy mill... almost ran out of breath on that one. I have only had her about 2 months, a little over that now.

My second oldest, is actually the first one I got after my precious Rocky passed on. She is a light cream/beige chihuahua, kinda big at 9 pounds normal, but ballooned up to 12 after being spayed (I am working on it). Her name is Penny. Her birthday is May 21st, 2005

My next one, is Penny's son, born Aug 12, 2006, and somehow got the "tiny" gene... he is only 4.8 at his heaviest. He is so adorable, he kept a puppy face and eyes, and I just adore him too much! He is my fifth appendage... LOL, always always always on some part of me. His name is Buck.

My youngest, is also the biggest. She is half Golden Retriever/Chow Chow. It is funny how the chow (dad) was tan, and mom, of course Golden, and all 8 of her puppies came out pitch black with no other color at all on them. She is so darn smart, she keeps me busy teaching her new things and giving her "jobs" to do. She was born Dec 19, 2008. And her name is Milli(on).

I am very proud of all my babies. My chi's are so a-typical: they love absolutely everyone! They have never been hit, chased by me or anyone, so they know no fear of new people. Sit down on my couch and you will be the ledge my 2 chi's sit on as long as you stay there... HEH. Oh, and watch out for the littlest one... he french kisses and does it before you know what hits you. He is really very adept at that... sigh, and LOL.

I will introduce my pack - Belle a 12 year old lab mix, Mysti a 7 year old mix of some sort, whippet, greyhound not really sure, Daphne a 6 year old Japanese Chin and the "kids" Raiden and Lulu, 18 month old rat terrier mixes (they are brother and sister).

I did not really intend to have five dogs, but our little rat terrier Crystal became sick and died the beginning of August - it was just terrible and so unexpected. We did not plan on getting another dog, but there just seemed to be a hole where Crystal had been. One night I started looking at Petfinder and found an adorable little rat terrier mix that could be a miniature of our dog Mysti. I showed her to my daughter - it's just the two of us here now - and she had also been thinking about getting another dog. I contacted the woman at the rescue - Deb's Dogs - for information about LuLu. She gave me LuLu's background - said she had been returned to the rescue along with her brother Raiden - because Raiden barked too much and woke his owner's new baby and he liked to chase ducks. The dogs were being kept at a prison and being trained by inmates. As I said I had only planned to take LuLu, but I started thinking about her brother Raiden and I asked Deb about him too. She said we could meet him when we came to get LuLu and could decide if we wanted them both.

When we first saw them in the lobby of the prison, Raiden immediately took to my daughter and I knew there was no way we were leaving witihout him. He stretched up and put his paws on me and looked at me with his big brown eyes and I could not have possibly refused to take him home too.

Things have been going well, just a few squabbles here and there.

I know that Raiden and Lulu can't take Crystal's place, but her death opened up a spot in our home for a homeless dog, and the more the merrier.

I'm Brittany and I'm 22 years old. I'm from Kentucky. My husband and I have three pets. 2 dogs and a 1 cat. We have a Boston Terrier/Mini Pinscher (although we think that's either wrong or there is more than those two breeds) named Rocky. He's around 10 months or so, not exactly sure how old he is. We bought him off a woman in Indiana who was moving and had to get rid of him. My sister and brother-in-law have two pit-bulls that recently had 12 puppies two weeks ago and we are taking one of them. I want to name him Bristol. Our cat's name is Zorro and he is a tabby cat that is close to a year old.

I'm a 21 year old dog lover and fitness enthusiast who loves chatting with others with the same interests. My dog is an ACD, Kelpie, and Beagle mix and currently lives with my parents as the house I'm renting does not allow dogs. Thankfully she's just across the freeway, so I see her every week and am about to make visits even more frequent.

I love running and cycling. My mom overfeeds my dog and I can't really do much from another neighborhood, so I've decided to go over there even more often to exercise with Keeda. Keeda was such a fit dog when I lived there (despite my mom's overfeeding habits, I got the chance to exercise her and keep her in shape) and my goal is to keep up with her fitness. I can't wait until I get a raise and get to move out to a place where I can take her with me.
