How should i do this?

Hello everyone....
Me and my bf have a JUG (jack russell/pug mix) and the dog mostly stays at his apartment b.c my other dogs are old and cant take it when he comes... so sunshine(JUG) only goes over there when i go to visit my mom. We took suni for a walk in the park today... to let her run free... away from cars.. and all she did was eat duck doO DoO. So then we decided to take her to a different field... but she ended up going in the woods... I want to know how i can train her to come while we are out playing. She is good in every other way... sits, lays down, jumps, gives paw, potty trained.... just i think she getes excited when we take her places but i dont know how i can train her b.c we dont have a fenced in yard at my bf's house where we can practice with her.... does anyone have any suggestions??? plz write back...

do you have a fenced in area anywhere where you can practice? if not try it in your home. then when you try it at the park, use a long lead (one end on her collar, one in your hand and about 20 feet in between, depending on how long it is) incase she doesnt listen.
wherever you try to start the training heres how I would do it: buy a clicker, about $1-$3? at pet store. cut up some tiny bits of hot dog. let her go about her normal life, or put her in a sit/down + stay. call her to you, click the clicker, if she comes give her a bit of hotdog and praise the heck out of her for a few seconds. do it over and over untill she comes every time, even if she is interested in something else. then try with the long lead incase she doesnt obey she is still on a lead, but she wont think she is.
