I am glad things are pulling together for him. I wanted to mention one thing though. In your previous post, you stated that he had some blood in his stool. This can come from tapeworms that don't usually show up on the fecal exam that the vet does. I would watch closely and if he keeps having the blood, then you may want to consider deworming him with Safeguard dewormer and two doses 14 days apart of the tradewinds dewormer (praziquantel.) I worked in a vet clinic for quite sometime and worms are sometimes easily missed. Deworming can never hurt, even if he doesn't have them. Anyway, that's enough from me, good luck with your new boy!!! :)

oh im sorry i forgot to tell...the blood most likely came from the skin on his butt. he has a little sore there too.. just to be safe though, i will let them run another test and then put him on meds anyway, when i go back in 2 weeks...thank you for ur concern ;) p.s. do i buy safeguard in a petstore? or where at?

Some pet stores sell it, but I usually get it on line. The active ingredient is fenbendazole and the brand name is Safeguard. You mix a powder with the food for three days in a row. I usually mix with canned food and they don't even notice it's there. I wish you the best of luck and Magnum is a lucky boy :p
