I always have a tasty treat or two in my pocket-- then I have a lazy moment and leave a pair of shorts or jacket on the floor and find them later with pocket and treats gone :p arg

ROFLOL!!! I hear ya. I do that all the time and my little chubby Jose knows immediately to check those pockets. I have treats in so many pockets. When I visited my daughter in Seattle last month....after not being there for several months, I borrowed a fleese jacket of hers, stuck my hands in the pockets and viola...there were treats in the pocket from the last time I visited. LOL.

Or if you forget to check the pockets before they go into the laundry...

Yup.....did that ONCE and once only. What a sticky mess....all adhering to the material on the inside of the pocket. YUK! LOL.

ROFL!!! Eeeeeewwwww.....Gross. How about homemade liver treats that fell behind a shelf in the frige, to be discovered at a much later time. A NEW ANTIBIOTIC! lol.

hahhaa

oakley just follows me around sniffing at my back pockets, cuz thats where i keep my treats sometimes...and the smell stays despite the fact that there are no treats, lol

and then there are the parents yelling about the nasty exploded hot dog in the fridge wondering what the heck it is doing in there...and why no one has eaten it...

hehe, my dad today wanted to eat my doggies hot dogs...even though they technically are for ppl...they are Oakley's!

Whenever Rocky comes to me, he always tries to shove his whole face in my pocket. It's so funny, he'll start sniffing first then in a second you'll see him sticking his whole head in the pocket.

My sisters' horse performs a 'search' with his nose whenever we try and catch him. And whenever he finds the treats he noses it over and over. Very tickly!

I don't carry treats in my pocket but try having a 16 hand high appaloosa stallion knock at your back door everynight for his good night carrot. Yes my Silver Joker is a funny friendly guy.

LOL....love those stories. They bring back memories for me. I use to have carrots in my back jean's pockets sticking up out of them and I'd forget they were there and creeping up behind me would come one of my Arabian mares and gingerly slip it out so I barely felt it. LOL.

The problem I have with Lyric is when we're talking to someone, even a stranger, at first he's suppose to sit, but he's not too good at that because I haven't been enforcing it very well. After a few minutes of sizing them up and looking suspicious, he'll get comfortable and start sniffing at their pockets. And a lot of people are afraid of Dobermans. LOL. By this time, he's totally friendly and his ears are out to the sides and his whole body language is friendly. His tail is wagging a little, his nose is outstretched and he's wanting to give a little nose kiss to their face if they're squatting down and if he thinks they're OK kind of people, otherwise he stays disinterested. But not very many people want a Doberman Pinscer's face in their face. They say, "Will he bite?" I tell them, "Not as long as you have a treat in your pocket." LOL. A lot of people ask if he bites. Geeeeez. Do they ask that about every dog? No, just the "bad" breeds. Grrrrrr.
