house-trained or not?

My almost 4 month puppy seems to be potty trained, and sometimes not. At home he rarely ever potty's in the house anymore, and holds it in very well, but when he goes and visits our other dog, living in another house, he always runs into my brother's workout room to go relieve himself. The thing is, the door for my brother's workout room doesn't fully close, so all he does is push it open and pee. We let him outside onto the sundeck to go potty, sometimes he does go, and other times he holds it in to pee in the room. So.. what's up with that? Does he think the workout room is outside or something?

Also, anybody have any suggestions as to get a puppy to poop in a one area, after he's use to pooping in another?

Just keep bringing him out to the area you want him to pee in and when he does so praise him. I think there's also some solution you can buy that you spray on that certain place where you want him to relieve himself and then he goes in that spot.

Also, you're brother's room may have another dog's scent which he may be trying to cover with his own. Try Nature's Miracle on that to help the whole scent go away.
