We have had her for four years now and although at times it has been a challenge, we have loved her dearly. She is a registerable (I have the papers) female, intact but never bred.I suffered a heart attack quite unexpectedly last May and can no longer 'handle' this large of a breed. See, she is deaf due to an injury sustained from her mother before we got her.We don't have a fenced yard and I am no longer able to 'chase her down' if she goes up on the road . I can no longer help her in and out of the tub as my activities are extremeley limited. Worst of all we cannot play outside much. While she is completely housetrained, she still needs a little activity. She has been trained to hand signals that we made up and does quite well with them. She is very smart. She is primarily an inside dog though she is very large. If you don't know this breed please google before responding to this ad. While she tends to be an exception to the 'aggression' rule, she should either be the only dog or be strictly supervised. There will be a rehoming fee, as well as a veteranary referance check. We may want to do a home check as well. If you think you are prepared for the responsibility of this BIG girl, please contact me.

This is a really sad situation for the owner and dog. While the right home may magically appear for her locally, aren't there fila rescue people who might be able to step in to help her out if nothing suitable turns up? The owner sounds like she/he really wants their dog to go to a good home and is willing to screen heavily. :(

I'll get to work on it. I'm in WA, but there is no way we could take a Fila..
