Peanut butter in a kong is a good idea. Maybe add some chicken broth or eggs or cottage cheese to his food?

Poor baby :( I'm sure he won't let himself starve though.

Poor pup...he's so sad. I'm sure he'll eat eventually, but I'd just keep trying to give him treats to get something in his tummy.
I'm so sorry about your Cujo.

I had the same thing with Bimmer when Buffy died. He would eat a little if I asked him, but only a very little, and he only did it to try to please me. I got some raw hamburger down him and an occasional egg, but not a lot else, and Bimmer, like Phoenix, is difficult to keep weight on. I started working on feeding him several times through the day and saving him food from my plate and hand feeding it to him. He didn't really get his appetite back until a couple of weeks after we brought Shiva home.

When you can get him to eat again, eggs are a good supplement to boost his weight. Pieces of raw, fatty meat are good too. Here's a link to a good recipe that might help: http://www.njboxers.com/satin-balls-recipe.htm

And here are a couple I've filed away.

Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

2 cups whole wheat flour
1 Tablespoon baking powder
1 cup natural peanut butter
1 cup skim milk

Preheat oven to 350
Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix with a heavy spoon
Turn dough out onto a floured cloth and knead
Roll out to about 1/8" thickness
Place on greased cookie sheets and bake for 20 minutes
Turn oven off without opening the door
Leave biscuits in for at least five hours or overnight to harden
Store in an airtight container

Bacon Bites (Dog Treats)
~Submitted by Paula~

3 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
1/4 cup bacon fat (or vegetable oil)
1 tsp. garlic powder
3 - 4 slices bacon, crumbled up
1/2 cup cold water

Since Phoenix tends to be thin, I'd use whole milk instead of the lowfat.
