Ms Preggers is staying at ADL. She is heavy heartworm+, has tapes and round worms, is about 18 months old, this is litter number 2 most likely. I am so glad she is not still out at the park.
She did very well getting in the car and being picked up and placed on the exam table. She did very well with the exam. I thought we would have to muzzle her but no, not needed. I could tell she is willing to bond to someone. She seemed to like being in my backyard and in the e-pen with her soft bed. She would drag me back in there after a short walk outside the yard.
We have our fingers and paws crossed that she can handle the road ahead of her.

They thought she had about a month to go yet. They cannot treat her heartworms until after the pups come. In less than 48 hours she was bonding. She liked coming back in the yard after a tiny walk. She liked using the soft dog bed.
She got into the crate in my car much better the second time. She did really well at the vets about being lifted up onto the exam table, staying on it, being poked for a blood draw.
A friend of mine has a friend that works at ADL so I'll keep up with Ms Preggers news and update you all here. We had big rain today and it's calling for thunderstorms all week. It's a good thing she is in a safe dry place now. She does have youth on her side, so hopfully she can overcome her health issues.

a month in...I am surprised the just don't fix her, then they can treat her health problems, having and raising those pups is not going to be easy on her. But all the best to her...

Yeah we discussed spaying her...they felt she was too far along. I noticed just since Saturday night the 4 teats in the very back are starting to swell more.

she sounds more than a month in. Here's my girl on day 34...have they done an xray? If they see spines she is at least 49-55 days in.

This might help is she is of a similar size...around 14" tall and 22lbs non pregnant. Oh and she was carrying 5 whelps.

Ms Preggers looks more like your dog at 46 days. I know they felt she was too far along to spay. I feel sad for her this morning. I am glad she is warm safe and dry, but she's still not out of the woods.

We're all rooting for her. She sounds like a good girl, and a tough one.
