She called me today, she's up five dogs. She found a mother and a litter of pups at Yosemite national park. They're all on their way back to Phoenix now. Mom's going to keep them until they're old enough for homes and see if she can find some. If not she'll keep the ones who don't find homes. She says the mother looks like a Cocker Spaniel mix of some sort.
On a side note, I did tell her to get them to the vet ASAP when they get home and have them checked out. I also told her to keep the other dogs separate from mom until we know more about her temperament and all that jazz. I also let her know to make sure and have the vet scan mom for a chip, just in case.
