Ok so we got another puppy  from a shelter. The puppy was supposedly wormed the 2nd time at the shelter but today when he went outside and "did his business" I still noticed he had a worm in his stool. It was dead though, I assuming because it wasn't moving. Is it possible for puppies to still be passing the dead worms even 2 days after being wormed? Also he was COVERED in fleas at the shelter and they gave him so Advantage on his neck to kill them and we want to know when we can give him a bath. We weren't the ones that adopted him so we couldn't ask these questions ourselves. I went through him two or three times with a flea comb before he came in the house and got off what I could and he seems fine now and our dogs are both on Advantage as well.

I'm definatley not an expert but we just adopted two golden labs from our shelter and they had worms also. They were treated once at the shelter and our vet gave us 4 more doses to give them. They were to have 5 doses of dewormer over the course of 25 days. So you may want to check with your vet and make sure you don't have to treat you puppy anymore. Hope this helps..

he went to the vet already and the vet said if we still notice worms to bring him back in a week. I haven't noticed any worms lately and his belly doesn't seem as bloated as it was before so I'm guessing he just had a lot of worms (eww...gross). All is well though because all my dogs went to the vet and got shots for roundworms and tapeworms too I think.

For the bath, all the flea products I have seen online say they are waterproof, so I would definitely go for it if she really needs one.

I gave him a bath yesterday, we were told that we had to wait a couple days to give him a bath and since we got him thursday we figured that it'd be ok to give him one last night. He smells clean and he's soft now too.
