Well blue has himself a hotspot on his left for arm.

Well I was wondering really what do for it?

We had put polysporn on it and wrapped it up in a speacial dog bandage. Then I had sprayed it with this stuff called Bitter apple spray for dogs.It is just so that he didn't chew at the bandage.Well it worked,it was getting better but then we ran out of the bandage and I didn't have money at the moment so 2 days later he had it in the same condition as before.

So the Vet has given me this speacial cream to put on it so far it is doing okay but it isn't really working that much.

Do you have any other suggestions?

P.S: for got to mention the petshop (any of them in my city) doesn't sell the bandage stuff or the spray. All the other bandages are like $30.00 (expensive)

I just wanted to hear your suggestions.

Shave the area and keep it clean. Has it already been shaved??

oh yeah hot spots I deal with them on a daily basis I will tell you what works really well first clean it with peroxide but only one time then apply an ointment (like neosporne) on it like twice a day just try to keep your pup from licking it and if he can't use the bitter apple over the ointment it should be healed soon

Hot spots are nasty. I had to bathe two Goldens who had giant hot spots on the both sides of their faces...I felt so bad for them. They just looked like the hurt a lot. We put some of our aloe conditioner on them to try and help soothe a bit...maybe try some pure aloe?

Second that...you have to clip the hair away and shave it so it can breathe and dry out. I would clean it twice a day with a diluted betadine solution that you can get at any local pharmacy. Dilute it to the color of tea and flush the hot spot after you clip it. I would also put an e-collar on your dog for a while :)
