There is only one PitBull...that is the American Pit Bull Terrier. But other breeds that are commonly called Pitties, are Staffordshire Terriers, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terrier, American Bulldogs, Boxers, and Boston Terriers.

Actually..from what I researched...PITBULL is a very broad term and isn't only the APBT...its actually a whole group of breeds... including the staffie...the staffie bull...the bull terrier...and the APBT...the APBT (American Pitbull Terrier) is a breed on its own...
There's alot of confusion with this term right now..but as far as I know..its not only one breed of dog...the APBT is specific to its own...but is included in the "pitbull" category..that's why when certain provinces or states ban the "pitbull" they are really banning all the breeds that are categorized under the name..the staffie..staffie bull..apbt, etc...

Yup Pitbulliest is right. "Pit Bull" is a class of breeds, not a singlebreed. Much like "Husky" is a class of breeds, not just one
