So I had a client with 2 dogs booked for today. The son brought them in. I asked him for proof of rabies vaccine but he didn't have it. So I phoned the vet they said they brought them to, lets call this Vet A. Well they have no record of this client, but they just split into 2 vets so gave me the number for the other vets, Vet B. Called them and they had no record of this client.
So I got the son to check the expired rabies tags the dogs were wearing (one of the dogs was already growling at me). That was a different vet, Vet C, so I phoned that vet but the expired tags were the only vaccs this vet did for them. Half an hour has already passed.
So the son phones his mom. Hands the phone to me. The mom says that the dogs are up to date but the vet with Vet A had come to their home to do them. I asked if she could get me proof of that, since I phoned there and they had no record. She said she didn't have it but they had been done. But I need proof before grooming.
So she phoned the vets and called me back. She could not get any proof but said they had been done and if I won't do her dogs I will lose her as a client. I tell her I am sorry she feels that way but I can't do the dogs with out proof.
She says that I will lose her as a client, I again tell her sorry. She then goes ok do you know what, that's fine. You have lost us as clients, that is complete bullsh**. And hangs up.
So now I am stressed (not to mention my dobie puppy pooped in the shop while I was dealing with this, haha)
I had a couple voicemails on the phone from people that called while I was on the phone. So I listened to them to see what they wanted and
I got a GREAT phone call!!
I did 2 shelties yesterday from the same family. Well that was the owner calling me to tell me that I had done the best grooming/brushing of anyone she has ever taken her dogs too!! She was just calling to let me know that I did a great job! Yay!!! So now I am so happy and relaxed (cept that I just had to listen to some marketing person try to sell me junk but other than that yay!)
