Dreyfuss is a golden, chow, shepherd mix and I have found that a Coat King works well. Also a pin brush or even a slicker brush will work too.

I'd use a pin / slicker brush, and brush layer by layer. You'll get out all the undercoat and he'll be nice and shiny!

i would say a slicker brush or what groomers call a rake good luck

A medium slicker brush. You have to be careful you don't scrape skin by pushing too hard. Lift up the hair in layers and brush the undercoat first.

bubbatd, I was wondering how to thin her coat. Sounds like a thinning comb is in order. Is this what I search for when I go to purchase online? Any other advice on using the thinning comb? Thanks for your feedback!
