View Full Version : Taking Zeus to the vet

Its still early here but i figured i would post so everyone knows what is going on. Earlier when i woke up and got out of bed Zeus and Pakak were rough housing. I was in the bathroom when I hear a bump and then a scream of pain and then a bit of growling and whining. I come out of the bathroom to see Zeus cowered on the ground whining and Pakak bouncing around him playfully growling. I then go over to Zeus and notice hisright side of his upper lip was busted and when I busted i mean the tip of his canine is sticking through his lip a bit.
I just cleaned it out and called the vet so their expecting us. i got the bleeding to stop for the most part and right now is laying down licking his lips.

Poor boy :( I'm not surprised they get hurt sometimes, they play so rough.

Aww, poor little guy :( I hope he heals up quickly and that him and Pakak can learn to play nicer.

Poor little guy! So much for the vicious, deadly Pit dog theory, hmm? Give him a bit of ice cream for me after he gets his little lip stitched up . . .

Thanks everyone. He did'nt like having stitches so way so sir so how or in that cause having everyone poking and proding at his cut. He was not crying but SCREAMING like he was being murdered. He never growled or showed teeth though he just cowered and screamed until they got him under and did the stitches.
He was very happy to get the heck out of there. He looks so sad with his stitches and alittle bit of a swollen lip poor boy.
He's got pain meds and cream to keep it clean the best i can. Everyone was thoroughly amused though to see a pitbull more scared of them then most dogs but not in a aggressive way. Also I was in the room and Zeus is a HUGE mums boy and I had to step out because he was trying to run to me to protect him.
He's ok now a bit dopey but ok. Pakak seems to think its his fault and keeps on flattening his ears when Zeus or myself looks his way. ANd when he goes up to Zeus in a playful manner I say his name and he slinks away. I did'nt even yell at him when it happened i was too busy worrying about Zeus. So I would say Pakak is far from dumb lol.

Poor little iddy biddy piddy Pitty . . . Don't forget that ice cream, lol! And a bite for poor Pakak too. He didn't mean to hurt his buddy. It sounds like he feels just awful . . .
