I tort Mac to lick her lips on command it's so cute.
I took here away from the other dogs so she was alone and gave her peanutbutter or a chewy treat or something like that. When she licked her lips while she was eating it, I told her spit and praised her.
I did it non-stop for 5 minutes and she's never forgotten it.

Good!
Licking lips is also a calming signal - good to know if you have a very reactive dog, you can put it on cue and cue them to do it when they're uncomfortable. It tends to calm them down as well as any other dogs that are around.
I started to teach it once to a dog who barked a lot - teaching an incompatable behavior.

Thats intresting that didn't occur to me. Thanx
She dosn't seem to have a problem with that command, she seems to enjoy it more than some others.
But not her favourite SPIN! she could do that all day

I taught Millie to lick her lips on command. The cue is "What do babies taste like?"

^^^Funny.
My friend's dog did it with the cue - "Do you like kitties?"
