Oh, I used to go up there a couple of times a month, at least, with Bear. He loved mingling with the crowds, taking a dip and a drink in the fountain, stopping for ice cream, and if he was lucky, after the pizza place was closed, someone would have left some pizza on one of the outside tables, lol.

Most of the shopkeepers where happy to see him, too. All 110 pounds of him :D

I have never had a problem. Alot of cabins or hotels/motels accept pets. There are tons of nature walks, state parks, etc that allow dogs on leash. I've even walked down the main street with 2 Rotties and everyone was great. :)

Nashville is like 3 hours from gatlinburg, and the knoxville airport is only around an hour...

Knoxville airport was like $200 more than the Nashville airport was when we were trying to fly out a couple of months ago.

I would offer a pick up at Nashville, but I drive a mini cooper, so I could fit like two people and zero dogs.. and no luggage ahh!

Corgi, the furniture store is actually about a block west of the mall, so you were close, lol.

It's a long, rotten drive to Nashville. At least 3.5 hours if you hump it, don't hit Knoxville during any of the traffic times (which is difficult to manage) and know how to steer clear of the construction zones (nearly impossible on a through trip) and get lucky.

If you're going to be in Gatlinburg proper, I'd say get off at the . . . oh, let me figure out which one's best. The 407 exit takes you through Sevierville and Pigeon Forge before you get into Gatlinburg, but it's a straight shot with no curvy roads at all.

If you get off at Newport and come down Cosby Highway it's a pretty decent road, and not much traffic. It brings you right into Gatlinburg without having to go through PF and Sevierville.
