I love my Wally boy.
So we do things a little differently than most training centers with how we tailor our classes to our clients dogs, and we're more than happy to think outside the box. In our advanced class (that started last night) we have a Springer named Cooper who is fear aggressive with other dogs. But, as usual, he is fine with Wally. So we put Wally's bed next to him and Wally spent the whole class sleeping on his big work bed. So cute.
We put out the "leave it" distractions, one of which was a bowl of dog food. Wally stood up and all it took was a "Wally" and he laid back down. Then we were demonstrating a different "leave it" exercise where we throw a boring cookie on the floor. Wally stood up and started walking towards the cookie. Wally got a "leave it" and "lay down please" from me being across the room and he sighed, walked back to his bed, and laid back down.
Ugh that dog is perfect. I just love him. He makes me look like a good trainer. At least I have him to make me look good with little effort while Teeny does her best to make me look bad.:lol-sign:
