Hey you guys. I love the fact that Chazhound has an art forum! There are some really great art pics in here, so I wanted to share with you some of the pet art I do. I sell at fine art festivals, and I also do custom portraits.

Check out my before and after samples -- I think they are pretty cool... :D
Click on the "before" photos to see the artwork I created.

Most of those are really cool.....although the photo retorations I can do on my computer at home, but most people don't know how to....so good luck with the site :)

Thanks Twilight! I checked out your website, too. I had some difficulty accessing your gallery (it wouldn't load, but I will try it again later) but I can tell that you do some very nice work, too. So, I take your feedback as a real compliment!

BabyBlue, thanks also for your comments. The photo restorations that are shown on my website (http://www.julieartworks.com/photo_restoration.html) required many hours of very intense work. I still have plenty more to post, as the photo restoration page is currently a work in progress. One of the most difficult jobs I've done is the one where a very large group of people are standing on the front porch of a historic building. The picture dates back to 1905 and was discovered in the basement of the building in the picture. It was water damaged, moldy, torn, badly faded, and was silvering. Our local historical society hired me to do the restoration.

The pet art that I do is something very different, however. It's also digital and requires intense focus, etc., but the style and skills involved are very different.

Thanks again for visiting my site!

Hi everyone. The yorkie and german shepherds are among my favorites as well! I also really like the two cats sitting on the half-wall. It was a lot of fun taking them out of their boring environment and into the great outdoors!!

Thanks for visiting my site and for all the positive feedback.

Keyodie,

The pics you see on http://www.julieartworks.com/pet_portraits.html ARE photos... Did you click on the photos to see the actual portraits? I thought maybe you hadn't because #5 (three dogs on a farm) doesn't look much like a photo (IMO...) After you click on the photo, you come to a new screen that show the same photo (for comparison) and then the portrait, just below.

In any event, thanks for your positive feedback and for checking out my artwork!
