Anyone in here own one? I'm just curious....
I just wanted to bring up one small point..I dunno, you all probably know this but whatever...I feel like typing tonight..lol
DO NOT BREED ANY FORM OF ALBINO ANIMALS...
I see albino pitbulls every now and then..pure white...not the ones with black noses..those are just regular white pits...I mean why do people breed them? Or is it an accident?...I mean, don't they understand that they have the tendency to be born with a weakened immune system, risks of skin cancers and health problems, prone to be blind and deaf..I mean..I could go on!
Ok I'm done now..something for people to think about I guess...

in some breeds they dont even have to be albino. great danes and dobermans, if white, have a lot of those health problems. I dont get it either.

I know what you mean my Pitbull Babe obviousely is whit she has some spots on her skin that were once on her fur a bit but they faded and he nose is almost all pink. The vet informed me she luckily is'nt deaf or blind but like you said he said skin cancer cna be a problem and her time in the sun now has to be limited.
Sadly even though Babe was a stray her ears are cropped and so her color may not be an accident.

This is a pit on dogster I've known about for a little while now. I don't know if she'd be considered albino (don't know a ton about pits). Her story is pretty irresponsible...a man rescued two pitbulls (her father was an ex-fighter) and decided to breed them. Here Harley (http://www.dogster.com/pet_page.php?i=152148&j=t) is.

shes got blue eyes and that black patch on her rear so not albino, I dont know much about pits either except that they are cute and that there reputation is not deserved. but according to love4pits Id imagine she is more prone to skin problems and probably other health problems. its strange how some dogs can be pure white and healthy (siberian huskies and german shepherds) and others are so prone to health problems.

Now that's wild! Harley is nearly a neighbor, lol! Newport is the next town over from White Pine . . . and the place they just busted 144 people for cock fighting (Cocke County, the high school team name is the Fighting Cocks . . . )

White German Shepherds are more prone to a lot of health and temperament problems as well, Stirder . . .

An Albino has no pigmentation ...even the eyes which make them look pink. They should NEVER be bred .

actually, there are a lot fo rumors about the white gsd being prone to more health problems, but all of the research that has been done has disproven them all except more prone to skin cancer. personally I dont like the white gsd, and will never own one, but thats just me.

There's someone on my street who has 2 white German Shepherds and 1 black and tan... they're all beautiful and seem to be well-trained from what I've seen.

Love4Pits...well I hope she'll be a happy and healthy girl for the rest of her life :)
Its too bad people are so irresponsible when it comes to animals...not just dogs but all animals in general..its amazing how much abuse and exploitation goes on every second of the day..right now as I'm typing this, I'm sure an animal is being abused, exploited, or mistreated somewhere in the world..and it breaks my heart just knowing that :( *sigh*...thanks for the comments guys..I'm glad you agree with me

unfortunatley as Im writing this I am certain that millions of pets, children, and spouses are being horribly abused. it is a sad sad world we live in. we just have to fight for improvement, every tiny bit helps. and try to focus mostly on the good things.
