How to add a signature

This is such a common question I thought I'd post this and sticky it.

If you would like to add a signature to your posts you need to pick a photo and make sure it is formatted in jpeg or something else compatible.

Open a free account at www.imageshack.us or www.photobucket.com or some similar site. These are 'host' sites. You follow the instructions at this site to upload your photo and it will generate a code for you that looks something like this (without spaces) http://img30.echo.cx/img30/7932/starwbaby3vl.jpg It should say that it is the code for forums. Copy this code.

Go to your user control panel. The button is in the top blue bar. Once you are in your user cp select 'edit signature.' And a text box will appear where you can paste the code that you copied.

After you save your changes the photo will appear on every post you make. Please consider the members with slower computers and connections and don't make giant signatures. They are fun to see for the first few times but they really slow things down.

you can do that whatever photo program you use or you can upload them to http://www.resize2mail.com/ either way you will have to load them onto photobucket again
