Although, I'm sure some others on this forum can answer this for me: what is a whelp? Is it another word for litter?

Nedim...the whelp is the birth of puppies......now you've got Grammy wondering if this has to do with all animals or not!! Will be interesting to look into. Let me know !!! There's birth,spawning,hatching,whelps,????....let us know !!!

Thanks, Grammy. I'm content with the info I have on birth and all, I just didn't know what a whelp was. There was a thread I believe yestrday discussing a pregnant canaan dog and the word whelp was mentioned. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
