Basset Hound Painting

Here's a painting I'm currently working on for my grandparents. It's going to be of their basset hound, Basil. He's getting older and having medical problems so I thought they might like a painting of him.

I just started it. It's an acrylic. Let me know what you think so far.

It needs a LOT more work. There's going to be more detail and shading in the face... but I just started it so...

I'll definitely update. I'll keep taking pics throughout the progress. I want to finish it sometime soon to give to them, but sometimes it takes me a while to do a painting... we'll see. I'm slow with acrylics. I definitely promise more pics though
