Mkay, here they are. They're made out of sculpey, btw.

The first one I made... you can see how I attached tail and neck and head separately. I don't remember when I made this, but it was a LONG time ago, at least 7 or 8 years.

The fourth or fifth one I made.. (two or possibly three of the first dragons I made broke)

My faaaaavorite one. Isn't she purdy? I dunno about the brown one behind her.

OH I should mention any of them in red or reddish shades are male, anything greenish is female. I go kinda crazy with the colors, it's fun!

Here are some of the largest dragons... still quite small, but when I'm mixing clay that's about as large as is an easy amount to blend. The green-gold on the bottom left is the very first dragon I made when I moved into our new house.. I like her. Even though she's shimmery. (WHY did I do that!?) The little nubs in the carpet are about the size of a dime.

Here's the color range so far.... I'm hoping to make a VERY dark red dragon that's almost black, but so far they tend to look purple or pink instead. I can't seem to get a very dark red yet.

Yes, he's pink. It was an accident...

OH I forgot this one... she's in a really weird position, with her forelegs on her tail.

BABY DRAGONS! With a big one to show you how tiny they are. I had one with my thumb in it to show the size even better, but it didn't load. The pink one is the first baby dragon I ever attempted, and the only reason he's pink is because I ran out of red. Recently I put like 3 hours of effort into making these awesome baby dragons... 5-8 of them.. and accidentally put the oven temperature too high and burnt them. Charred, actually. They were little dracling char-burgers. It was so depressing... *sigh*
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/KitKitty7/Pics/dragons018.jpg

HATCHLINGS! These things are sooooo tiny.. like they can get themselves wedged under your nail sort of tiny, lol.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v242/KitKitty7/Pics/dragons023.jpg

I have something like 60 of these little dragons.. making them is my weird version of stress relief. Sometimes I just mix clay for future dragons instead of actually making them, lol. They're not anything particularly special, but they ARE very cute. Except to the cats, who are attracted to them as if they are catnip... they EAT them! Seriously! Emma likes to crush them in her teeth and eat the little shards.. ugh.

I have more, there are currently 7 of them that I no longer own... two of them were practically masterpieces. One was on a quartz rock, clinging to it, another on an amethyst, sitting on it. They were marbled different shades of color, had nice limbs right down to perfect little claws and had flames coming out of their mouths. I'm such an idiot for not taking pictures before I gave them to my friends... they blow all the other dragons away.

Here is one I did for school, it's the biggest dragon I have and was hell to make.

It's.. huge. LOL. Almost two inches tall and three or so inches long..

I LOVE this one! If you can make it come to life I will give you $57485473927642967658794.68 for it.

And the head on the last one, holy pooperoni, it's gorgeous! (reminds me of the dragon from Eragon kinda)

You HAVE to name the pink one ORSON! :D And that last one is fabulous. Marvelous.

Love 'em. I know how hard it is to mix and knead Sculpey to get the colors blended  It absolutely wears my hands OUT.

Have you tried making yourself a wire armature to build them around?

I can't make it come to life, Lauren... LOL... I can make one like it for you, if you want, though. :D

OMG.. Name him Orson?? PERFECT.

Yep, sculpey wears them out. I had one point in time where I was doing so much of it that it became easy, though. but what I do is mix colors when I'm too frustrated to actually make the dragons, so when I just feel like jumping in and making them I have it ready! And no, I haven't tried that. I want to. I just don't know how and would need help, or some really good diagrams/pictorial how-tos. The big one has tin foil bones, especially on the wing, base of tail, body, and part of the neck. It makes her a LOT lighter!

Those are so cute! I think I'll be getting the Sculpey out tomorrow!

Ha, I've done that. I was all excited to see my lovely new creation, and when I opened the oven everything was a yucky bubbly black. I was sad, lol.

Okay, uh, if nolu isn't going to take you up on this offer, I will! :D

Coop, he's VERY secure in his manhood. Er.. dragonhood.. uhhhm you know what? I wont go there. LOL

Okay, uh, if nolu isn't going to take you up on this offer, I will!

I would if I could. I'd keep a few myself though!

Thanks to you guys.. I felt creative enough today to make another! WOOHOO! It's really nothing special, kind of awkward-looking, but fun to make. I want to make a couple that a fitted so they can hang on places.. specifially the tunnel on the train layout. I think it'd be cool to have a dragon clinging to the entrance of the tunnel! I did it on rocks, so I figure the tunnel wont be too big of a stretch.

SQUEEEEE! They are sooo adorable!! And little baby ones too! How did you make them so tiny and cute without your fingers cramping up and falling off? I love the hatching egg.

Now you just need some teeny tiny little gold coins and stuff. :p The face on the big one is so beautiful and serene. Ah! You need to bug your friends with the other ones to get some pictures for you! Either that or make some more. :D

The teensiest tiniest ones are just rolling scraps across the table until they're the right size, and pressing them together gently or with toothpicks. Trial and error, basically, but the toothpicks help. I have no idea how they came out cute, lol. The normal sized babies are easier to make, and if something goes wrong you just make dragon pancakes and start all over. :D

As for the gold coins... well.. in that scale, a quarter is about the size of the period at the end of this sentence, maybe a little bigger. That would be absolutely impossible!

minature anything is so difficult for me...sweet dragons! I have not experienced much with sculpty but there is an artist that donated regularly to art unleashed that made incredible dogs with this stuff.

Nolu, try scoring some dental tools! The things they scrape plaque with make great sculpting tools for miniatures.

I wish Id saved the dogs I made out of sculpty and tried to glue them back together. My sister dropped all three of them one right after the other. I couldn't believe it. But it was really an accident and she didn't do it on purpose.

I decided it was more trouble than it was worth to try and glue them back together at the time. I may have to pick up more and make some again. Its a lot of fun to do.

OH! I have some of those. My grandfather was sort of a dentist. He, um, made fake teeth for people, lol. We have lots of stuff left over from his practice. I can't believe I didn't think of that before.. thank you!!

Charlie, that's so sad. :( I know how it feels when they break. I've had a couple dragons literally beyond repair, lol. That's what happens when they're dropped from ten feet up. Make some more.. and show us pictures! C'mon, you KNOW you want to!

Bet you have got a little enameling kiln in that stuff, then. They are wonderful for doing cloisonne and other decorative enameling things. Imagine a dragon with wire armatured, enameled wings . . . . Or a tiny dragon pin done in enamel, made to crouch on your shoulder.
