Okay, we have three weave poles straight up and the other three are almost straight... but somebody please remind me of the order in which you straighten them? The first and last poles are the last to go straight, is that correct?
Right now they look like this:

Hopefully that makes sense... poles 2, 3, and 5 are the straight poes, 1, 4, and 6 are still slanted. We just moved number 3 up today - is that correct? Which one goes up next - 4? Then 6?
TIA. =3

I would think 4. I originally trained the weaves all upright, but recently took a class on increasing drive and independence, and we often used the WAM poles. The instructor would leave the first couple and last couple (in a line of 12) slanted for the dogs that had issues doing all 12 upright.

I did not know there was a particular "order". I do it on a per dog situation. For example Zip is learning the weaves, he almost has them down, all straight up but I usually keep the starting 2 poles open to set him up for success to get his entry. Then I noticed would sometimes skip one pole towards the end of the set of 12, so I would open the last four, again to set him up for success. Even just opening them ever so slightly has been successful for him. Now I am able to close them all up (except for entrance, I want to make sure he really "gets it" before I do that) and he goes through them great.
With Dasher I did not need to do that. Once they were closed, he rarely ever popped out and he "got it" pretty quick.
Good luck!
