Lizzie has irritated skin on her stomach area.

It's because she had fleas and has created sore spots that won't heal because she either licks them or chews at them.

I've looked at them and it's just either red spots or scabs.

If I can get her to stop scratching they would heal up, but as of now she won't leave them alone.

Sooo, on to the question, is it okay to put Hydrocortisone on dogs? She'll have an e-collar on for a few hours till it soaks in, so she will not lick the med or anything.

Personally I would try a benedryl cream first. It will address the issue of the allergy, take away the itch, and allow the spots to heal. Hydrocortisone cream is fine for dogs, but I think in this situation you might benefit from a benedryl cream!

We have a hydrocortisone spray :) Phoebe started getting a red area on her tummy too as soon as the weather started to dry out.

I sprayed the hydrocorisone spray on the area twice a day for 3 days and she is all fixed up now.
