Beezer has a cut on the top of his ear (outside of ear not inside)... he's had it for a while now... I'm sure he got it while playing with Belle. It's not a puncture but it's not really a scratch either. It's like a small chunk was taken out... but it's not deep.
Anyway... the only reason it isn't getting better is because he keeps SCRATCHING it. I haven't done anything yet as far as ointments or cleanings.... he doesn't want anyone to touch it but I'm going to have to.
I'm thinking he might need a cone for it to heal up because he keeps scratching but he is going to be nuts with that thing on lol.
Anyway... is there anything I should or could be doing to help it heal?

is there anything you can put on it to keep him from scratching? When Goober lost hair on his neck from his collar he was scratching badly and a little neosporin helped... but I'll wait to hear other people's suggestions.

what would help with the itch?

This is going to sound funny, but I've used Chloraseptic to numb itchy places on the dogs before when I didn't have anything else.
You can get Benadryl ointment or spray though, and sometimes applications of Vitamin E oil will take care of it.

If it wasn't for him constantly scratching it it would be healed by now lol the doofus.

Well we have some benadryl spray... he won't really let us put cream on it. He runs away... it is obviously quite sore or irritable. So the spray we can put on quickly even though he doesn't like it.... it's starting to look better already :D
